We are currently seeking a highly enthusiastic and compassionate Early Head Start Preschool Center Aide to join our team at the Hoopes Early Head Start location in Idaho Falls. In this role, you will work alongside the lead teacher to create a fun and engaging learning experience for children from birth to age three.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with the lead teacher to develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum and activities.
- Foster a safe and nurturing environment that promotes the well-being of the children.
- Prepare materials and set up interactive learning centers.
- Engage children in educational play and various stimulating activities.
- Assist with mealtimes and encourage healthy eating habits.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing classroom.
- Actively participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and other professional development activities.
Requirements:
- Possession of a high school diploma or Equivalency Degree (GED).
- Ability to obtain the Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential with the guidance of EICAP within 12 months of employment (all costs covered by EICAP).
- Preferred experience working with children aged 0-3 years.
- Clearance of a Tuberculosis (TB) screening and physical examination.
- Willingness to undergo CPR and First Aid certification through EICAP's training program.
Compensation:
This position for an Early Head Start Preschool Center Aide is part-time and paid on an hourly basis. We offer paid sick leave, vacation time, retirement plan, and a starting wage of $14.82 per hour.
