Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Pharmacy Technician II is responsible for accurately performing all advanced and and basic pharmacy technician functions in a timely manner. In addition, this position maybe responsible for performing duties associated with Automated Dispensing Cabinets and other specialized duties as assigned by the pharmacy management team. In this role:

• You will be responsible for maintaining medication storage and security.
• You will interact with hospital personnel both in person and by phone.
• You will accurately package and prepare medications for dispensing.
• You will transport medications and supplies to various areas of the hospital.
• You will perform daily Automated Dispensing Cabinet routines as assigned.
• You will help manage drug supplies in a cost effective manner and identify opportunities to minimize waste.You will help mentor new technicians and assist the Pharmacy Director with special projects as needed

What qualifications you will need:

• Active Utah state Pharmacy Technician license required, as per State requirements, in good standing with the appropriate State Board of Pharmacy
• Minimum one (1) year of hospital experience
• Pharmacy Technician Certification Board
• Licensed Pharmacy Technician, or Registered Pharmacy Extern, or Pharmacy Technician Certification Board, or State Registration Pharmacy Technician
