Job Summary and Qualifications
- In this role: You will provide life-sustaining care for pediatric patients in the ICU, evaluate and document each patient's response to interventions, and respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition.
- You will have demonstrated knowledge of medications and their correct administration based on age of the patient and their clinical condition.
- You will work closely with department leadership and physicians to coordinate treatment plans and examinations.
- You will educate parents on day-to-day operations, treatment plans, and at-home care procedures.
- You will act in a composed and professional manner, especially under pressure.
Qualifications
- Current State of Idaho or Compact Registered Nurse License.
- American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification within 7 days of hire.
- American Red Cross or American Heart Association Advanced Life Support Course (ALS or ACLS) and Certification. Must obtain within 90 days of hire and maintain certification.
- American Red Cross or American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Course and Certification. Must obtain within 90 days of hire and maintain certification.
- ENPC or TNCC within 18 months of hire.
- One to two years of recent critical care experience preferred.
