We are currently seeking an entry level Hydraulic Technician Apprentice who will receive hands-on training and education in the installation, maintenance, and repair of hydraulic systems used in industrial settings. As an apprentice, the individual will work closely with experienced hydraulic technicians to gain practical skills and knowledge related to hydraulic machinery and equipment.
Starting wage: $24-25/hour based on experience.

Key Responsibilities:
- Hydraulic System Design:
- Work with experienced staff to learn how to design hydraulic systems
- Follow blueprints and technical drawings to ensure proper setup and configuration
- Develop technical knowledge of key components.
- Learning and Skill Development:
- Attend training sessions, both on-the-job and through formal educational courses, to improve hydraulic system knowledge.
- Keep up to date with industry advancements and technology related to hydraulics.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed, including maintenance logs and inspection reports.
- Team Collaboration and Support:
- Work as part of a team, providing assistance to senior technicians, engineers, and other maintenance personnel.
- Communicate effectively with other team members regarding work progress and technical issues.
- Follow instructions and learn from mentors to improve technical abilities.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to safety protocols and practices, including wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) and working in accordance with industry regulations.
- Learn to identify potential hazards and apply proper safety measures while working with hydraulic systems.
- Ensure all hydraulic systems meet industry standards and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Assisting in Hydraulic System Maintenance:
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance of hydraulic systems, including pumps, valves, cylinders, and hoses.
- Assist in identifying and diagnosing issues with hydraulic systems, such as leaks, pressure drops, and mechanical failures.
- Conduct cleaning, lubrication, and replacement of parts as needed.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Basic knowledge of hydraulics: Understanding of fluid dynamics, pressure, and hydraulic components (hoses, pumps, cylinders).
- Technical aptitude: Ability to read and interpret blueprints, manuals, and technical specifications.
- SolidWorks experience a plus.
- Mechanical skills: Basic knowledge of tools and machinery related to hydraulic systems.
- Problem-solving skills: Ability to identify issues and assist with troubleshooting.
- Safety-conscious: Familiarity with safety standards and procedures in industrial settings.
- Strong communication skills: Ability to communicate clearly with team members and supervisors.
- Willingness to learn: Enthusiasm for gaining hands-on experience and developing technical skills.
Education & Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Technical education and/or hydraulics apprenticeship or training preferred.
- A valid driver’s license is required.
Work Environment:
- Industrial settings such as manufacturing plants, warehouses, or construction sites.
- Some work may be conducted in confined spaces or outdoor environments, depending on the nature of the job.
- May involve physical labor and require lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
