Branding & Communications Intern - Home Office, Greenville, SC

Eastern Industrial Supplies, Inc. is seeking a Branding and Communications Intern with a love of storytelling through video, social media, and design to spend this summer learning from and challenging our team. If you are passionate about creating impactful content, this is the summer internship you've been looking for. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with multiple departments, create compelling content for different channels, and gain hands-on experience in a friendly, coaching-centered environment. The internship lasts through the summer culminating in a presentation to Eastern's Executive Leadership Team. We're looking for someone with a lot of curiosity and wants experience in content creation and management. It's a broad category, meaning there's opportunity to focus in for the summer on an area of particular interest to go in-depth on analysis and create an amazing end-of-summer project summary while still learning the basics of a corporate communications team.

This is a Paid Internship - $19/hour for 10 weeks (May-August) in Greenville, SC

Potential Key Responsibilities:

• Video Production:
  • Assist in all aspects of planning, filming, editing, and cataloging video content.
  • Help create engaging external video content for social media platforms, website, and email campaigns.
  • Collaborate with multiple departments within the company to develop and deliver internal video content with emphasis on learning and development initiatives.
  • Analyze Eastern's video production process and suggest improvements.
• Social Media Management:
  • Assist in developing content that aligns with the Eastern's voice and objectives.
  • Analyze Eastern's social media performance and suggest ways to boost engagement.
• Graphic Design:
  • Help create visually appealing graphics for use in publications, social media, email campaigns, and other digital platforms.
  • Assist in designing marketing materials such as brochures, flyers, and promotional items.
  • Ensure all designs consistently adhere to brand guidelines across all platforms.
• Marketing Campaign Support:
  • Contribute to the development and execution of marketing campaigns, from concept to delivery.
  • Help conduct market research and competitor analysis to inform marketing strategies.
  • Assist in the creation and execution of email marketing campaigns, including list segmentation and performance tracking.
  • Track and report on campaign performance metrics and provide insights for optimization.
• Capstone Project:
  • Devise a strategic branding or communications initiative and present your case to Eastern's Executive Leadership Team at the conclusion of your internship.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Creative thinker with a passion for content creation and brand storytelling who is pursuing or has recently completed a degree in marketing, communications, design, or a related field.
• Experience in video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar).
• Experience with graphic design tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, etc.).
• Familiarity with social media platforms and scheduling tools (e.g. Buffer, Hootsuite, etc.).
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and take initiative on projects.

Bonus Skills:

Experience with motion graphics or animation.

Knowledge of SEO, PPC, or other digital marketing tactics.

Familiarity with analytics tools and social media insights)
