EIHC is seeking a full-time Director of Quality and Risk Management dedicated to serving the needs of our community.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Director of Quality and Risk Management (RM) is responsible to develop and lead organization wide performance improvement and quality assurance efforts to better patient access, patient care, patient outcomes and patient satisfaction. Oversees population health management and transformation efforts, care managers and clinical quality. Able to identify and lead improvement and transformation by collecting and interpreting data, and utilizing performance improvement and change management tools. Serves as the Risk Manager to identify areas of risk exposure, assess safety, and ensure loss prevention practices are carried out so that the institution remains safe for its patients, families, and employees. Identifies and limits legal exposures. As a vital member of the EIHC team, this role will recognize and promote the cultural diversity of the patients we serve and the people we work with.

Monday through Friday 8 AM to 5 PM

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Maintains professional response to emotional or emergency situations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to produce reports, assign tasks, accept instructions and handle vendor contracts, among other tasks.
- Organization and the ability to multitask to complete a wide variety of tasks while prioritizing appropriately.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in healthcare required. Quality, risk management, or clinical/administrative roles, ideally in an FQHC or behavioral health setting preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education combined with significant relevant healthcare experience will be considered. Master’s degree preferred.
- Knowledge of regulatory standards, legal and ethical codes, and healthcare best practices.
- Experience with project management, data analysis, and utilizing local, state, and federal data sources.
- RN or LPN licensed to practice in the state of Iowa preferred.
