What are the responsibilities and job description for the Oral Surgery Dental Assistant position at Eastern Iowa Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery?
Eastern Iowa Oral Surgery has a great full-time opportunity for a Registered Dental Assistant or Surgical Tech with some dental knowledge to join our team. We are looking for a motivated person with the willingness to learn and grow. Our ideal candidate will provides high quality patient care, dependable, able to multi-task, detail oriented, and works well with others.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Taking intra-oral x-rays, panoramic, and CBCT scans
- Assist the doctor alongside other dental assistants and nurses during surgeries including wisdom teeth extractions, implants, etc.
- Monitor patients' vitals and explain post-operative instructions
- Instrument tray set-up, clean and organize operatory rooms and manage surgical instruments and inventory.
- Sterilization of instruments/OSHA protocol
- Must be willing to become ACLS certified.
Being team oriented and flexible is critical.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $28.00 per hour
