Eastern Iowa Pet Resort is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Daycare Attendant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supervising and engaging with dogs in a daycare setting, ensuring their safety and well-being, and maintaining a clean and organized environment. Job Type: Full-time
Work Hours: 8 AM - 11 AM and 1 PM - 6 PM.
Hourly: $10-$12 per hour
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and monitor the behavior and interactions of dogs in a daycare setting.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all dogs in your care.
- Engage in playtime activities with the dogs.
- Clean and sanitize play areas, kennels, and equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of each dog's behavior, feeding schedule, and any special instructions.
- Participate in continuing education to enhance your skills and knowledge.
- Additional responsibilities as assigned, including boarding responsibilities when needed.
- Flexibility to work weekends on a rotational basis as required.
Skills:
- Previous experience working with dogs is preferred but not required.
- Ability to handle dogs of all sizes and temperaments.
- Strong communication skills to interact with dog owners and provide exceptional customer service.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
- Physical stamina to handle heavy lifting (e.g., lifting large bags of dog food or crates).
- Knowledge of basic dog behavior and body language is advantageous.
