Commercial Tire Technician

Eastern Iowa Tire is looking for the right candidate to fulfill our Commercial tire technician position.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Dismount, mount and balancing of large semi tires on customers’ wheels and/or vehicles using the method trained by the company
• Perform truck tire repairs on various size tires in accordance with the method as trained by the company
• Install and/or work on any other products for which you are qualified
• Place scrap (take-off) tires in appropriate location
• Operate all tools and equipment as trained
• Deliver appropriate customer service satisfaction
• Maintain a clean, orderly, safe work area
• Maintain a clean, properly-equipped service vehicle
• Maintain all company equipment and tools
• Work Professionally and accurately without direct supervision
• Respond positively to direction from management
• Be a contributing, respectful team player
• Be punctual and dependable
• Follow the company’s guiding documents (Mission, Vision, Guiding Principles)
• Assist in accurately conducting inventory control
• Participate as directed in housekeeping and maintenance activities
• Abide by all terms and conditions in the Employee Manual
• Drive and operate a fleet service vehicle safely and following all laws
• Perform additional tasks as requested by management
• Perform all safety related practices as per the Employee Safety Manual
• Perform proper lifting procedures
• Report all accidents and incidents immediately upon their occurance to your direct supervisor
• TIA Certified or willing to become TIA Certified by company-provided training, which includes passing both written and hands-on testing
• Participate in scheduled safety meetings
• Work well under pressure to meet customer and company demands
• Protect company assets
• Trustworthy, ethical, reliable and dependable

• Requirements;
• Be able to pass a DOT physical and drug screen
• Preferred Chauffeurs license
• Pass a background check
• Strong work ethic

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
