What are the responsibilities and job description for the EXTRA - CURRICULAR - Marching Band Instructor position at Eastern Lancaster County School District?
Staff member will assist the band director as necessary in one or more of the following areas: Color guard, Drumline, Front Ensemble, or Winds/Brass
Instruct and lead rehearsals for specific sections such as Color Guard, Front Ensemble, Drumline, or Brass/Wind, focusing on technique, musicality, and synchronization with the overall ensemble.
Provide individualized feedback and coaching to students to enhance their skills and performance abilities, fostering growth and improvement.
Collaborate with other instructors and staff members to ensure a cohesive and well-rounded marching band experience for all participants.
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes teamwork, discipline, and dedication among students.
Prepare students for shows, performances, and other events, including coordinating logistics and managing equipment when needed.
Assist in the selection, maintenance, and care of instruments, equipment, and uniforms, ensuring they are in proper working condition and appearance.
Communicate effectively with students, parents, school administration, and community stakeholders to provide updates, gather feedback, and promote the marching band program.
Stay current with trends, techniques, and best practices in marching band instruction through professional development opportunities and networking with peers in the field.
Attend performances and rehearsals throughout the season
