  • Level II Trauma Center – receives air flights in (serve 2 / 3 of State; closest trauma center within a 2 hr radius)
  • Certified Stroke Center
  • General Information :
  • Imaging Rooms : 7 rooms can accommodate Echo
  • Minimum experience required : 1 year
  • Will you accept a first-time traveler? Yes
  • Patient Population / Common Scans :
  • Patient population : Adult only; Inpatient and Outpatient
  • Routine scans : Structural heart - mostly cardiac Echos to include TEE and Stress Tests
  • Average # of Patients Seen per Day :
  • Inpatient / Outpatient : 60-70

  • Required Certifications :
  • BLS required
  • ARDMS required
  • CCI-RCS (preferred)
  • Is ME State Licensure required? No

    • Unit Specific Information

  • Echo Supervisor – works within department
  • 6-9 additional sonographers within department
  • Physician support – 7 Cardiologists
