Certification Details BLS ACLS NIHSS Job Details 26 week contract highly preferred. Level II Trauma Center Beds : 411 26 ICU beds 2 years minimum in ICU experience First-time traveler : Yes Patient Types : Medical, Surgical, Trauma, Neuro, Ortho, Interventional patients Patient Ratios : 1 : 2 based on acuity (may get 3rd patient as one is being discharged or moved to the floor) Adequate PPE provided during Covid Job Requirements BLS ACLS NIHSS Neuro and Trauma experience are an absolute must – EVD & ICP monitoring Ventilator management, critical care drips, drain management, stroke experience, hemodynamic lines (A-lines / CVP), cardiac rhythm recognition, chest tubes, tracheostomy care, strong assessment skills Schedule Information Weekend rotation : Every other (Dayshift : Sat / Sun; Nightshift : Fri / Sat) No on-call schedule Holiday Expectations : Varies, based on need – all holiday requests should be sent to manager for approval Approval of time off to go through manager Unit Specific Information Charge nurse : Unassigned – may have patients in a critical staffing situation Resource Nurse / House Supervisor – 24 / 7 RT, in house 24 / 7 Hospitalist, in house 24 / 7 Intensivist, 24 / 7 for consult Trauma Surgery team will monitor their own patients PT / OT - Mon-Fri Charting System / Equipment : Cerner, Alaris, Pyxis Floating : To the Cardiac Care Unit (ICU) – will take patients within scope, Cardiac Stepdown or Medical Stepdown, PICU if they have Peds experience Orientation : General Hospital orientation, followed by 1 shift on unit Additional Details Scrub Color : Any solid color, must be professional Free parking in designated areas
