  • Medical Surgical Unit - KPO3
  • Level II Trauma Center
  • Discharge Ready Unit
  • Patient care for a variety of patients awaiting community placement
  • Heavy behavioral / psych care with security presence
  • Non-acute care with focus on fall prevention and skin integrity
  • Team nursing approach with specific patient ratios

Job Requirements

  • RN / LPN & Tech : BLS required
  • CNA : BLS required
  • Minimum Experience : RN and LPN - 1 year, CNA - 1 year

    • Schedule Information

  • 26 weeks preferred but not required
  • Weekend rotation : Every other
  • No call required
  • Holiday expectations vary as needed

    • Unit Specific Information

  • Patient ratios : RN up to 1 : 9, CNA up to 1 : 8, LPN up to 1 : 9
  • Charge nurse typically unassigned
  • Support staff includes social workers and case managers
  • Charting system : Cerner, Alaris, Pyxis
