What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Picker/Packer position at Eastern Marine?
Duties:
- Pack items into designated containers according to company standards and customer requirements
- Seal and label packages appropriately
- Inspect packages for damage or defects before shipment
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures
Skills:
- Order picking: Ability to accurately pick items from inventory based on order specifications
- Cherry picker: Experience operating a cherry picker forklift to retrieve items from high shelves
- Order fulfillment: Understanding of the order fulfillment process and ability to meet productivity goals
- Pallet jack: Skill in operating a pallet jack to move pallets of products within the warehouse
- Materials handling: Knowledge of proper materials handling techniques to prevent damage or injury
- Heavy lifting: Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, up to 50 pounds, with or without assistance
- Forklift: Certification and experience operating a forklift to transport materials within the warehouse
- Load unload: Proficiency in loading and unloading trucks or containers using appropriate equipment
Note: Prior experience in a similar role is preferred, but we are willing to train motivated individuals who demonstrate the necessary skills and ability.

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
