Maintenance Tech General
FLSA: Hourly/Non – Exempt
Revision Date: 2/4/2021
Purpose of position: Under general supervision, keep machinery and facility in safe working order.
Duties and Responsibilities: The following duties are typical of those performed by employees in this job title; however, employees may perform other related duties, and not all duties listed are necessarily performed by each employee in the job title:
- Maintaining equipment and the building.
- Trouble-shoot and repair both electric and propane fork trucks; hydraulic and pneumatic controls; and general machinery repairs
- Preform preventative maintenance practices and keep excellent records.
- Must perform work in a safe manner, perform lock-out-tag-out procedures, and maintain area in a clean and orderly manner.
- Order and maintain inventory of parts in a cost effective manner.
- Must be self-motivated, have ability to work with little supervision, and be able to work alone and with others.
- Must demonstrate a positive, can-do attitude.
Qualifications:
- Previous maintenance and mechanical experience is a requirement.
- Must be able to lift a maximum of 75 lbs.
- Electrical experience is a plus
