Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
The following duties are typical of those performed by employees in this job title; however, employees may perform other related duties, and not all duties listed are necessarily performed by each employee in the job title:
- Assembles materials of pre-existing forms by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies.
- Position parts together by using templates or reading measurements.
- Verifies specifications by measuring the finished product or component.
- Resolves assembly issues by making adjustments to meet all specification requirements.
- Must maintain up keep of equipment by completing preventative and routine maintenance.
- Adhering to all safety policies and procedures at all times.
- Maintaining inventory by checking stock; and anticipating needed supplies.
- Operates industrial machinery and a variety of tools to assemble sheets.
- Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according size, type, style, or product code.
- Stack or assemble materials into bundles and band bundles together; package orders for shipping, pickup or truck delivery.
- Measure, cut and package material to fulfill orders.
- Open boxes, crates, and other containers.
Qualifications:
- Able to lift over 50 lbs.
- Basic mathematical skills
- Able to read a tape measure
- Needs to be quality oriented
- Previous production or carpentry skills
