Eastern Michigan University (EMU) seeks a visionary and strategic leader committed to academic excellence and shared governance to serve as Dean of the College of Business (COB). Reporting to the Provost and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs, the Dean will serve as the Colleges Chief Academic Officer, responsible for elevating academic quality, fostering faculty scholarship, and developing strategic initiatives that align the universitys mission and priorities.
Key Responsibilities
The Dean will :
- Develop and implement the Colleges academic vision, overseeing curriculum, faculty development, and research initiatives.
- Supervise the Colleges academic units (Accounting, Finance, and Information Systems, Management, and Marketing).
- Improve student outcomes by advancing retention strategies, promoting timely graduation initiatives, and developing industry partnerships.
- Collaborate with faculty, university leadership, and community stakeholders to advance the Colleges mission.
- Lead fundraising, accreditation, and strategic planning efforts to elevate the Colleges national profile.
