General Summary
Coordinates the preparation and production of university catalogs (graduate and undergraduate) and class schedules to ensure accurate completion. Develops and maintains databases supporting catalogs and schedules. Assists and conducts special studies, content audits, and updates as directed by the University Registrar.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Directs the preparation of university catalogs including, but not limited to, design and layout materials, verification of academic content, program revisions and implementation of authorized changes.
- Directs the preparation of university class schedules including, but not limited to, timelines, content and auditing of data.
- Suggests updates to policies, as needed, and ensures compliance reviews are scheduled and conducted.
- Conducts training of administrative staff and other appropriate constituencies related to catalog and class scheduling operations.
- Supports Faculty Associate for Course and Program Development in reviewing course and program proposals for implementation effectiveness.
- Meets with faculty and academic leaders to assist in the development of degree maps.
- Maintains the university's master course and program inventory, including approved course modality designations.
- Participates in the discussions, planning, and implementation of student co-curricular records.
- Ensure policies and procedures are followed including, but not limited to, those established by the university, HLC, and federal government.
Minimum Qualifications :
Minimum of two (2) years of professional experience in catalog and / or University Registrar office is required.
Knowledge and skills in program planning and event coordination and organization, typically acquired through the completion of a master's degree in business or a related field is required.
Excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as skills in organization, critical and analytical thinking, and time management are required.
Ability to exercise independent judgment and to establish, implement and maintain operating goals and objectives with continuous improvement as a focus is required.
Preferred Qualifications :
Five years of experience in a university setting is preferred.
Working knowledge of university policies and procedures, including academic programs, scheduling and graduation is preferred.
Working knowledge of the University ERP system, degree audit system, classroom scheduling system, and the Course and Program Development system is preferred.
Training experience and involvement in university curriculum and scheduling is preferred.
