What We’re Looking For:
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Licensure: Current New Mexico Physical Therapy Assistant license.
- Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Experience: While new graduates are welcome, we prefer candidates with 1-2 years of PTA experience.
- Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, proficiency with computerized documentation, and the ability to build effective relationships with patients and the community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer physical therapy treatments under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist to help patients achieve their maximum functional potential.
- Assist with exercise instruction, patient evaluation, and testing.
- Utilize your experience and judgment to plan and implement treatment goals.
- Perform a variety of tasks to support the physical therapy team and enhance patient care.
