Position Summary: Under general supervision, the Head Stunt Coach is responsible for overseeing all aspects of a newly created NCAA Division II women’s stunt program, including the development, coaching, and management of all aspects of the program. This includes leading practices, strategizing for competition, promoting the student-athlete experience, and fostering a positive and competitive team culture. The Head Stunt Coach will recruit, train, and evaluate student-athletes, monitor student-athletes’ academic achievement, and ensure compliance with all NCAA, conference, and university policies. Additionally, the Head Stunt Coach will collaborate with other staff and departments to enhance the overall success of the program, provide guidance and mentorship to athletes, and build strong relationships with the community.

Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible for game operations for on-campus stunt competitions.Recruiting and coaching of student-athletesMonitoring student-athletes’ academic achievementManaging budgetCoordinating travel arrangements for team competitionDirecting stunt campsFund-Raising (Departmental and Program specific) Program planning and forecastingLeadership development Managing social media accountsManaging stunt coaching and administrative staff members.Performs other duties as assignedMinimum Job Requirements: Bachelor’s degree and three years of demonstrated successful coaching experience required Master’s degree and college head coaching experience preferred.Familiarity with the Lone Star Athletic Conference preferredA valid New Mexico Driver’s License or the ability to obtain one within 30 days of employment is also required, as well as the ability to safely operate a motor vehicle in all kinds of weather and road conditions.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Demonstrated coaching skills and mastery of the sport of StuntKnowledge of progressive teaching and coaching pedagogy including organized practice plans that are routinely well implementedStrong interpersonal, communication and leadership skills and the ability to work effectively with student athletesIn-depth knowledge of applicable sports and playing rules.Candidate must be able to work as a team member and be self-directed and be willing to serve as good will ambassador for ENMU Athletics.Candidate must be fully committed to a positive student-athlete experience, promoting academic success and graduation and complying with NCAA, Lone Star Conference and ENMU policiesProven leadership in the successful fulfillment of Stunt coaching responsibilities including competitive strategies; coaching skills; recruiting; individual and team camp operations; fiscal management; fund-raising; organizational and/or administrative leadership; public relations.Ability to work well in a highly fast-paced environment and be a team player with the athletic department and the University.The successful candidate must demonstrate strong moral character and maintain conduct that aligns with both the University's and state’s code of conduct.
