Position Overview

Position Summary :

Tutoring Center Tutor positions are temporary, part-time positions hired each semester based on need. Tutors are responsible for providing one-on-one support to students in writing, math, science and / or general academic skills in a peer mentor environment, helping students succeed in their coursework.

Requirements

Duties and Responsibilities :

• Provide academic support to students at various stages of their learning in at least one subject area (writing, math, science, or general academic skills).
• Support the Tutoring Center directors with planning, outreach, and other related tasks as needed.
• Ensure adherence to the Tutoring Center's policies and procedures.
• Utilize remote tools, such as video conferencing and phone calls, to assist students.
• Communicate effectively with students through email and phone.
• Accurately document tutoring sessions and input data as required.
• Actively engage in all tutor training sessions.
• Submit weekly reports to the supervisor.
