Job Purpose
The Youth outreach specialist will create opportunities for our LGBTQ2SIA community members to unite and develop or enhance the eastern Oregon support services network. The Youth Outreach Specialist will conduct outreach and provide support services to LGBTQ2SIA community members in Eastern Oregon, including information, referrals, and advocacy on LGBTQ2SIA related issues to 3 of the 7 counties that make up region 5 (Baker, Grant, Harney, Malheur, Umatilla, Union, and Wallowa Counties)
Qualifications/Skills
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.
- LGBTQIA & Two-Spirit community members preferred.
- Work or personal life experience with social work, education, youth outreach or a related field
- Work or personal life experience working with diverse communities and populations.
- Work or personal life experience with LGBTQ2SIA advocacy and services.
- Valid Driver’s License or access to transportation for outreach activities, service delivery, meetings, and events.
- Must be able to pass a criminal history background check.
