Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Purchasing Manager to oversee our procurement operations. Duties
- Develop and implement purchasing strategies that align with company goals.
- Manage supplier relationships to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery of goods.
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure favorable terms and pricing.
- Oversee inventory management processes, including tracking stock levels and conducting regular audits.
- Utilize MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems to forecast material needs and streamline procurement processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify material requirements for production and fabrication.
- Monitor market trends and industry developments to inform purchasing decisions.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures in all procurement activities.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in purchasing or supply chain management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of inventory control practices and systems, including SAP.
- Excellent negotiation skills with a track record of successful supplier management.
- Familiarity with MRP systems and inventory management software.
- Ability to analyze data and make informed purchasing decisions based on market research.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers.
- A degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
