POSITION SUMMARY
Set up and operate CNC plasma machine to fabricate material in accordance with specifications, plans, and safety standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING: Because Eastern Shipbuilding is continually growing to meet the needs of our customers, the essential duties and responsibilities may be different than described.
- Regular attendance at work and the ability to work flexible hours, including overtime, weekends and holidays.
- Inspect and operate equipment daily.
- Adjust controls to set and regulate machining factors as needed.
- Start machine and observe machine operation to reposition workpiece, change or adjust machine settings as needed.
- Perform all
necessary production work as part of the manufacturing process according to work instructions. - Troubleshoot equipment and make repairs/adjustments as needed.
- Perform all necessary quality checks during production and follow procedures when defective material/parts are discovered. Ensure finished product meets specifications and standards set forth by Company.
- Work with minimal supervision.
- Duties may include cross-training on such machines as the Press Brake and Wheelabrator equipment as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
May indirectly supervise and train subordinates.
