Eastern Sign Tech, LLC is seeking several skilled metal fabricators to be part of our team!

Established in January 2000, Eastern Sign Tech is a custom metalwork shop dedicated to unique and creative projects---we design, build and install distinctive signage, displays, and LED scoreboard structures. EST specializes in custom metal fabrication, including aluminum, steel, and stainless steel.

We have an immediate need for metal workers familiar with aluminum and steel, including use of metal forming equipment such as brakes, presses, and shears. If you can work independently from drawings, as well as part of a team, please call us. Long term opportunity for the right people!

JOB REQUIREMENTS

· Positive attitude

· Willing to work overtime when needed

· Authorized to work in the United States

· Minimum age – 18 years

· Mechanical/Technical Skills – Read and understand blueprints and engineered drawings. Work with machines and hand tools.

· Welding experience in TIG & MIG

· Proficient in reading tape measure, including metric

· Experience assembling LED lighting

· Ability to lift heavy objects during the fabrication and assembly process

· Stamina to stand at a bench for long periods often doing repetitive motion

· Strong math skills

· 1 year fabricating experience

· Experience working with aluminum and stainless steel is a plus!

· Welding certification a plus!

· *Drug testing required*

JOB DESCRIPTION

1. Fabricate and assemble metal products including boxes, cabinets, pylons, and scoreboard structures.

2. Measure, cut, and weld all types of metal including tubes, beams, angles and sheet metal.

3. Set up machines for cutting and bending. Knowledge of Turbo Bender is a plus.

4. Understand physical properties of metal and fabrication basics such as jigs and templates.

5. Follow verbal directions from Shop Foreman.

6. Reference engineered drawings.

7. Daily use of tape measures, rulers, squares, and basic math.

8. Practice the method “measure twice, cut once.”
