ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support the Tournament Director in all facets of in-house tournament programming – including planning, execution and post-event reconciliations – with a primary objective of driving revenue.
Lead assigned tournament programs with an added focus on non-basketball events (i.e., volleyball, futsal, etc.)
Drive tournament team recruitment via outbound calls, emails and other means of communication.
Establish relationships with key stakeholders such as coaches, athletic directors, league operators, etc. to create a consistent pipeline of prospective customers.
Collaborate with MSEC marketing personnel to ensure all promotional needs are met.
Manage event logistics such as setup/breakdown, day-of staffing, vendor supplies, content capture and general event support.
Continually benchmark other facilities and tournament operators to best identify industry trends and opportunities
Serve as an MSEC Manager On Duty during assigned shifts.
- Experience in large-scale, revenue-producing tournament operations. (Volleyball experience is a plus.)
- Working knowledge of tournament/registration software (i.e., Exposure, DaySmart, etc.).
- Unwavering commitment to customer service and guest experience.
- Evening, weekend and holiday availability as required.
- Familiarity with budgets and financial metrics.
- Professional in appearance, demeanor and communication (both verbal and written).
- Outstanding organizational skills with ability to prioritize.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace (i.e., Docs, Sheets, Slides).
- 4-year degree in a related field preferred.
