What are the responsibilities and job description for the Camp Couselor position at Eastern Sports Management?
We're currently accepting applications for part-time Camp Counselors for our Summer & Seasonal Camp programs. We are looking for people who are hardworking, professional, highly motivated, and have great energy when it comes to supervising a group of campers.
Camp Counselors provide direct supervision of a group of children during day camp. Our staff provide quality experiences and environment for the children and parents. A qualified individual will be energetic, creative, professional, patient and share a love for working with kids.
This is a part-time, non-exempt position projected for 5 to 32 hours per week. The Camp Counselor is supervised by the Youth Program Director and the Camps Director. Candidates must be available to be scheduled to work between 6:30am and 6pm.

Responsibilities:
- Ability to provide high energy, high enthusiasm, and a positive personality each and every day
- Create a fun and safe environment for all kids
- Ability to engage children between 6 years - 12 years of age for extended periods of time
- May be required to walk, run, stand, climb, kneel, sit on floor, and get back up
- Plan, lead, and take part in various indoor and outdoor activities
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate weekly and daily activities
- Follow program requirements and standards for safety and cleanliness
- Create and maintain relationships with children and parents
- Communicate effectively with other staff, supervisors, and parents
- Manage conflict and issues with campers across a multitude of developmental stages
- Other duties as assigned
