The Virginia Beach Field House is Virginia’s premier indoor sports facility. With over 175,000 square feet, we offer leagues, camps, clinics, and tournaments for youth and adults in soccer, flag football, volleyball, basketball, arena (indoor) baseball and softball, field hockey, lacrosse, dodge ball, sand volleyball, sand flag football, sand soccer and other social sports. We also host birthday and team parties, corporate events, and other organized activities. The Virginia Beach Field House has 6 turf fields, 8 regulation volleyball courts, 4 basketball courts, 8 sand volleyball courts, 2 sand fields, multiple party rooms, an arcade, and an indoor Fun Zone. Guests are encouraged to visit our fully stocked food court and lounge. In addition, we proudly carry several beers on tap and by the bottle for those patrons over 21 years of age who enjoy adult beverages. We have full locker rooms with day lockers and showers. For entertainment we have over 40 flat screen TV’s throughout the building, and four 110’ giant screen TV’s in our lounge. For the best indoor sports - TAKE IT TO THE HOUSE!
The Virginia Beach Field House is currently looking for a custodial services team member. The custodial staff is responsible for cleaning and maintaining a complex indoor sports facility. Duties include cleaning, sanitizing, trash disposal, vacuuming, dusting, basic maintenance, and material inventories.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain building cleanliness, presence, and supply levels of various areas throughout the facility at all times
- Complete tasks to quality standards and on time
- Perform extensive cleaning duties including floors, walls, glass, and waste management
- Service, clean, and supply restrooms and locker rooms
- Manage cleanliness and maintain stock in facility restrooms
- Exterior building maintenance (ex. shoveling, de-icing, debris removal, sweeping, waste removal, etc.)
- Must be efficient and effective in the following tasks:
o Sweeping, mopping, and waxing floors
o Operating buffing machines
o Vacuuming carpets
o Mopping
o Cleaning windows
o Thoroughly cleaning various surfaces
o Waste removal from trash and garbage containers and debris from the grounds and parking lots
o Dusting of blinds and furniture
