What are the responsibilities and job description for the Events Manager position at Eastern Sports Management?
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Serves as a tournament/event facility manager and representative, sales representative, customer service agent, facility liaison and point-of-contact for the tournament/event promotor/vendor, and other duties pending event needs and per assignment from the Tournaments & Events Director, and/or General Manager
- Manage the VIP Balcony area operations, including the facility staff assigned to work in this area (i.e. ushers, sellers, hosts, servers, attendants)
- Sell VIP Balcony products and services on a walk-up bases (i.e. Reserved Tables, SRO Day Passes, Team Lounges) in the DaySmart software system, and track via spreadsheet and/or other methods TBD for accurate accounting and reporting
- Deliver exemplary customer service to patrons, clients, sponsors, promotors, venders, and staff
- Have familiarity with general Titan Sports Complex offerings and day-of event details
- Ensure adherence to Titan Sports Complex policies, rules and procedures
- Respond to all incidents, accidents, injuries and altercations
- Help resolve guest concerns and/or direct to the appropriate representative
- Maintain calm during fast-paced and/or stressful situations
- Assist the facility staff with general cleaning and orderliness of the VIP Balcony area as needed
Roles
VIP Balcony Manager: Help transact day-of product sales via computer software system, process credit cards and handle cash, and manage the event support staff in this area to deliver a best-in-class positive experience for all patrons
Greeter: Ensure proper entry to the event and VIP Balcony and welcome guests to the facility
Usher: Help guide and direct guests through the building while offering general customer assistance and monitoring of assigned areas
Event Operations Monitor: Monitor assigned courts and related spaces to ensure smooth event operation
Event setup/teardown: Move/stack/unload/load tables, chairs, signage and other equipment required for the event, as needed
