What are the responsibilities and job description for the Youth Sports Coach - Basketball position at Eastern Sports Management?
The Youth Sports Coach is responsible for teaching and supervising youth development classes of up to 15 students per class. The Youth Sports Coach reports directly to the Youth Development Director and Youth Program Director.
The coach is the primary point-of-contact for students and parents and is expected to deliver excellent customer service. Not only will the coach spend time with new students and parents to orient them to the program, but also greet and converse with all participants before and/or after each class. In addition to being able to answer questions related to the youth sports program, the coach is expected to have a detailed knowledge of the facility and other programs which may be applicable.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Set up and take down instructional equipment before and after each class

Supervise children and ensure the playing/performance area is safe for all participants

Work irregular shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

Maintain current qualifications in accordance with program standards

Perform other duties and responsibilities as needed, required, or assigned by the Youth Development Director, Youth Program Director and/or the General Manager
