Restaurant Manager: ES Hospitality
Looking for a dynamic manager to join our team and our little corner of Fenway as we approach the busy Red Sox and concert season!
Overview of Concept:
Garrett Harker and ES Hospitality have been busy opening several exciting hospitality venues just steps from Kenmore Square and Fenway Park. Among these is the return of Eastern Standard Kitchen and Drinks, the craft cocktail bar Equal Measure and the group’s newest addition, Standard Italian. Best known for Eastern Standard, Island Creek Oyster Bar and The Hawthorne, Garrett is once again bringing enlightened hospitality and high energy operations to the Fenway neighborhood. Garrett is joined by Beverage Director Jackson Cannon and Culinary Director Brian Rae in the operation of these concepts.
Overview of the Position:
The Restaurant Manager position is a dynamic, multi-concept role. The position will be responsible for supporting the General Manager in the day-to-day management and operation of not only Eastern Standard, but also Equal Measure, Standard Italian and the ES Hospitality private dining program. This is a role for a candidate who is excited to develop and grow in all aspects of restaurant management as you’ll work daily across multiple settings: restaurant, cocktail bar, private events. It is a role that will allow the right candidate to continue to learn and grow professionally working alongside talented food and beverage colleagues in a legacy restaurant with a multi-daypart, multi-venue layout.
Responsibilities:
Assist in the day-to-day management of a team of FOH members
Participate in restaurant opening and closing shifts as restaurant manager
Lead by example to guide and empower the FOH staff on the floor, maintaining a hands on presence throughout each service
Focus on ensuring proper steps of service are being followed across all FOH stations and staff: on the door, tableside and support
Focus on cultivating meaningful relationships with guests through guest interaction with the goal of creating returning diners and regulars
Assist with private event execution
Take part in special projects as necessary
Qualifications:
Minimum 2 Years Experience Working In Restaurant Management Preferred
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced, ever-changing work environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong problem solving skills
