Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Groundskeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the aesthetic appeal and health of our outdoor spaces. The Groundskeeper will play a crucial role in ensuring that our grounds are well-kept, safe, and inviting.
Duties
- Perform regular lawn care activities including mowing, trimming, and fertilizing to maintain healthy grass.
- Utilize power tools such as lawn mowers, trimmers, and blowers for efficient grounds maintenance.
- Assist in landscape maintenance tasks including planting flowers, shrubs, and trees as well as weeding and mulching.
- Operate hand tools effectively for various gardening tasks.
- Implement irrigation systems to ensure proper watering of plants and lawns.
- Conduct routine inspections of the grounds to identify areas needing attention or repair.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of all tools and equipment used in groundskeeping tasks.
- Collaborate with team members to plan and execute landscaping projects.
Requirements
- Proven experience in groundskeeping or landscape maintenance is preferred.
- Knowledge of lawn care techniques and plant care practices.
- Familiarity with power tools and hand tools used in landscaping work.
- Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting heavy objects and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality work.
- Excellent time management skills to complete tasks efficiently.
- A valid driver’s license may be required depending on job location.
