Responsibilities
- Operate laundry machinery, including washers and dryers, to launder linens and resident clothing.
- Sort, wash, dry, fold, and iron various types of fabrics according to established procedures.
- Ensure all items are cleaned thoroughly and meet quality standards before returning them to service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area, ensuring that all equipment is properly maintained.
- Handle dry cleaning processes as needed for specialized garments.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs promptly to management.
- Assist in inventory management of laundry supplies and notify management when stock is low.
Experience
- Previous experience in a laundry or housekeeping role, is preferred but not required.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
