To enhance our commitment to safety and current safety efforts, we are looking for a full-time dedicated Safety Manager. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Safety Manager to oversee safety operations for ESCS and will be invaluable to the success of our Company.
Key Responsibilities will include:
- Plan, implement, and manage comprehensive environmental safety & health programs; evaluate programs and ensure programs are aligned with current standards.
- Plan and implement employee training programs for preventative care, safety and compliance.
- Conduct safety meetings, audits, and inspections to ensure compliance, identify corrective actions, and implement follow-up assessments.
- Ensure practices, regulations, and procedures are strictly and continuously adhered to in order to maintain a safe work environment and in compliance with company, industry, local, state, and federal (OSHA) requirements.
- Investigate near misses, accidents and incidents to find the root cause and take preventive measures to help mitigate any further incidents, file appropriate paperwork and documentation needed.
- Conduct pre-construction job-site walkthroughs and generate site-specific safety plans.
- Maintain accurate records of safety related activities to include inspections logs, reports, correspondence, incidents and training.
- Organize and Chair the Company Safety Committee and safety incentive programs.

- Strong understanding of health/safety and risk management principles and practices
- Thorough knowledge of health and safety laws and guidelines
- Ability to prioritize tasks especially when managing an accident or incident.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking and presentation.
- Extensive attention to detail
- Strong analytical skills for conducting inspections and investigations and good understanding of data analysis
- Organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities while meeting deadlines.
- Strong Interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish effective professional relationships with employees and project managers.
- Thorough understanding of federal, state, and city safety requirements, including OSHA
- Effective leadership skills, such as motivating a team and providing feedback.
- Good organizational leadership and motivational skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (including Word and Excel) & Outlook.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Industrial Health certification preferred.
- Five years of relative Construction Safety experience or Board Certification as Safety Professional – ASP or CSP certification
