What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mobile Service Manager position at Eastern Truck and Trailer?
Summary: Responsible for performing all outside repair/maintenance work in a thorough and accurate manner by performing the following duties. Supervise and assist all Mobile repair activity as needed.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Direct and coach technicians. Ensure all safety standards and protocols are being adhered to.
2. Schedule technician activity to maximize productivity / profitability Monitor truck stock,
condition, maintenance, upkeep...image is critical
3. Review technician paperwork checking for omissions and accuracy Identify prospect accounts, sell when possible...provide leads to sales
4. Recruiting, constant "look out" for quality technicians
5. Source pick up parts only when necessary
6. Bring complaints, problems, criticism up the chain, never project
7. Build sense of team and pride within Mobile Service Coordinator keep moral high
8. Recognize & reward "going above and beyond" !! Deal with substandard performance promptly, turn it into a coaching opportunity
9. Services and installs all equipment according to an established service schedule, company standards and within acceptable time frames as well as troubleshoot and rectify potential problems on location.
10. Applies knowledge of products and seeks additional training/education as appropriate.
11. Documents legibly and accurately all work completed according to company policy, and submits on a daily basis.
12. Coordinate daily with Mobile Service Coordinator. admin/liaison between Mobile Service
Coordinator. accounts and ET&T
13. Works closely with management to ensure timely scheduling of installations, repairs and service work.
14. Maintains service vehicles in a clean manner at all times, performs preventive maintenance and maintains a vehicle logbook on service/repairs done on a routine basis.
15. Keeps vehicle stocked with a sufficient supply of parts and tools.
16. Builds and maintains customer relations in field to ensure excellent customer service and enhance the company's image.
17. Performs other related duties as assigned.
