- Operate all types of vehicles used to transport pupils
- Familiarity with the geographic service area of district
- Knowledge of local, state and federal rules, regulations, ordinances and laws regarding school bus operation
- Alert and exercises good judgment concerning emergencies, disabled vehicles and abnormal driving conditions
- Maintain a controlled, pleasant environment on the vehicle and keep established schedules transporting students to and from schools
- Maintain and acceptable standard of cleanliness of vehicle
- Be willing to adjust working hours to accommodate needed bus driving schedules
- Monitor mechanical condition of vehicle per trip. Report deficiencies to mechanic using Daily Inspection Report and Repair Request.
- Remain free of substance abuse and/or illegal drug use at all times while an employee of the EUPISD
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor
