Qualifications
Education/Experience: Education/Experience: bachelor’s degree in engineering, Engineering Technology, or similar discipline, and 5 years cumulative experience in participation with any role in the acquisition, management, development, installation, or testing of C5I systems. Experience on a maritime vessel is preferred but not required. An equivalent combination of education or experience may be considered.
Required Skills: Intermediate level Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook experience required. Ability to read and interpret documents such as general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from senior management, employees, and the public. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, verbal, or diagram form. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, display attention to detail, and function as a team player.
Other Requirements: A combination of government and shipyard experience in large government shipbuilding (design/build) programs is preferred, other major defense programs will be considered. Experience working within the Earned Value Management System is also a plus.
