Qualifications
Education/Experience: High school diploma or equivalent experience. Experience: Entry Level; 2 years or less experience in the maintenance and repair of shipboard electrical, mechanical or instrument equipment; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Skills: Some knowledge of electrical, mechanical or instrumentation trades; Some knowledge of the tools, equipment and materials used in maintaining plant electrical, mechanical or instrument equipment. Ability to read and understand service manuals. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others. Ability to keep records. Entry skill level in the electrical, mechanical or instrumentation trades. Computer literate – working knowledge of Microsoft Office

This job will operate in multiple environments, including a professional office environment, and Shipboard during the production, outfit, test, and delivery phases of each Ship. Employees must be able to work in a ship production environment, including climbing, entering tanks and voids, etc., in all weather conditions. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
