POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for the day-to-day coordination of each craft during construction of the vessel.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING: Because Eastern Shipbuilding is continually growing to meet the needs of our customers, the essential duties and responsibilities may be different than described.
- Regular attendance at work and the ability to work flexible hours, including overtime, weekends, and holidays.
- Routine review of drawings to assure compliance with contact specifications.
- Review purchase orders to assure specification s are complied with for each item.
- Prepare Variation Orders for changes to the contract and or vessel specification s.
- Prepare weekly production meeting agenda for each craft as related to each project.
- Coordinate with regulatory bodies during construction of the vessel.
- Represent company when meeting with vessel representatives.
- Daily over-site of production and coordination of each phase of construction.
- Responsible for updates to management as needed and or as requested.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
May directly and/or indirectly supervise employees assigned to the construction of the vessel. Responsibilities may include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work. Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-area and overnight travel may be required.
