What are the responsibilities and job description for the Data Entry and File Clerk position at Easterseals Arc of Northeast Indiana?
Summary: The Data Entry and File Clerk is responsible for scanning data into the agency’s database and performing other clerical duties as part of the Central Files department. The incumbent maintains records in the database or paper files as prescribed and maintains strict confidentiality of client and agency documents and records.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performs duties according to assignment, scanning, data entry, tracking participants appointments and file audits
- Maintains Fire Marshall and other paperwork for SBOH surveys
- Cover for receptionist lunch breaks and time off
- Adheres to Eater Seals Arc Human Resource Policies and performs other duties as assigned including assisting other personnel when required.
- Attends required annual training
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor
Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years of age
- High school diploma or GED
- Basic computer/data base knowledge and use of routine office equipment
- Has basic typing and organizational skills. Must be able to file by alphabetic or numeric method.
- Must pass required background checks and agency training
- Ability to communicate effectively in order to:
- Complete required forms and reports of services provided
- Follow oral and written instructions
- Communicate with an individual’s mode of communication
Working Conditions: The Data Entry and File Clerk performs duties in a standard office environment while frequently using a computer. Employee works with some supervision, both alone and with others in a team environment.
