Contracted Nurse Instructor (LPN or RN)
Salary:
- LPN: $27.00-$31.00
- RN: $31.00-$38.00 (RN preferred)

Location: Fort Wayne and Warsaw
Summary:
Easterseals Northern Indiana is looking for a Contracted Nurse Instructor (LPN or RN) to provide education and training within their network’s Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program. This position will involve leading classes, conducting labs, and helping caregivers enhance patient care. The Nurse Instructor will implement evidence-based programs, develop skill programs, and educate on medical equipment while collaborating with healthcare teams.
Qualifications:
- Current Indiana nursing licensure as an LPN or RN required.
- 1 year of experience in ID/DD or long-term care nursing (preferred).
- Indiana Certified Nursing Assistant instructor certification required within 60 days of offer.
- Ability to pass criminal/registry background checks.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Ability to support individuals with medical or behavioral challenges.
- Strong communication skills to work effectively with a variety of individuals.
Responsibilities:
- Provide educational leadership for patients, caregivers, and staff on specialized care and health management.
- Lead the network’s CNA program, adhering to Indiana standards.
- Collaborate with other healthcare teams to design and deliver educational curricula.
- Maintain accurate training records and documentation.
- Assist with skill development programs and offer in-service training to staff, clients, and families.
- Perform other duties as required.
Additional Information:
- Moderate supervision, working both independently and as part of a team.
- Occasional extended hours or weekend work may be required.
- Physical demands include moderate to heavy lifting.
