General Position Description: Facilitates trainings to meet organizational, contractual, State of Arizona, and related regulatory requirements and needs.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Facilitates trainings in to ensure compliance with requirements for the organization. 
  • Assists in the design, development, and updating of training materials. Tailors trainings to the specific needs of our program needs.
  • Identifies training needs and works with the programs to cover learning gaps or skills needs for our employees and new hires. 
  • Ensures all training materials are updated, printed, and available for our new hires and employees. 
  • Maintains accurate records of training activities and generates reports to track training effectiveness and compliance.
  • Documents training documentation and ensures data is accurately entered into the tracking system. 
  • Creates and provides reports regarding trainings as needed. 
  • Assists the department with administrative processes and audits as needed. 
  • Assists to implement assessment tools to measure the effectiveness of training programs.
  • Assists to ensures up to date curriculum is maintained in accordance with AZ DES DDD standards, CARF, AZRBHA/ACC Plans, EBF standards, and other authorizing entities and obtain approval for curriculum modifications.
  • Participates in the process of ongoing professional development and meetings. Maintains comprehensive communication among all contacts within the agency, members, and external agencies. Models professional standards and ethics in accordance with EBF Code of Conduct, Strategic Plan, Mission, and Vision. 
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in related field with 2 years of training experience, or Associate’s degree in related field with 4 years of training experience, or High School Diploma/GED with 6 years of training experience required.  Bilingual (Spanish) preferred. 


Regulatory 

  • Must be at least 21 years of age. 
  • Current, unrestricted AZ driver’s license with no more than two (2) minor moving violations or one (1) accident within the past three (3 years). Three (3) years of driving experience required.
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an AZ DPS Level 1 fingerprint clearance card (employer provides).
  • CPR and First Aid trainer certification (Employer provides).
  • Ability to obtain and maintain trainer certification for trainings offered or required by programs including Article IX and Prevention & Supports certification (paid training). 


Skills/Job Knowledge/Abilities: Ability to evaluate and research training options and alternatives. Ability to design and implement effective training and development. Knowledge of Behavioral Health and developmental disabilities. Able to establish and maintain a team atmosphere of communication and collaboration for all that reach out to the Department. Must be self-directed and be sensitive to cultural and linguistic diversity. Excellent customer service in stressful situations. Maintains a professional in appearance, communications, and actions. Excellent interpersonal communication skills. Basic knowledge of EBF policies, practices, and procedures. Possess a high level of computer proficiency. 


Working Conditions/Physical Requirements (with or without accommodation): Normal office and training environment with multiple interruptions in person and through computer and phone. Travel to outlying sites and other locations. Interacts with employees and members of the public on a daily basis. May lift normal office equipment and materials up to 25lbs. Visual acuity to read information from computer screens and forms. Able to speak clearly in conversations, constant in person trainings, and general communications. Hearing ability for communication in person, phone, and/or other electronic methods for essential training duties. Manual dexterity for typing and writing. Able to stoop, squat, reach, pull, push, stretch, ascend and descend stairs, stand and sit for long periods of time. May be required to work additional hours or days depending on circumstances.
