Easterseals is seeking a motivated and dedicated professional to provide support and guidance in the community to Adult individuals with intellectual disabilities as they learn to strengthen in their work and life skills, not limited to, but including, communication and daily routines. As you build relationships with the people you support, you will share in the joy that they experience when learning a new skill that promotes independence in everyday life.
Qualifications:
• Must have compassion for others and the desire to support adults with disabilities
• Must be able to work 40 hours/weekly M-F (daytime) and have morning availability as early as 6AM
• Must be at least 21-years of age to drive company vehicles
• Ability to pass criminal background checking process including additional background checks for janitorial contract requirements
• Driving record in good standing
• Experience supporting individuals with disabilities in a community setting
• Supervision of a participants janitorial work crew in the community
• Experience providing support to Adult individuals with disabilities
Preferred Skills:
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to monitor Adults with disabilities in a community setting
• Associates Degree in Human Services

The starting salary for this position is $17.00 per hour with the opportunity to earn more as experience and increased job responsibility is achieved.
