Position Opening – Pediatric Personal Attendant Services Coordinator
Location: Kent/Sussex County
Easterseals Delaware & Maryland’s Eastern Shore is seeking a Pediatric Coordinator to be a part of our Personal Attendant Services Program in Kent/Sussex County. The Pediatric Personal Attendant Services Program is a self-directed program for parents on behalf of children receiving personal care services or respite services. The self-directed option gives families the flexibility to hire and manage their own caregivers with support from Easterseals staff. We are looking for someone who is well-organized, has effective time management skills, and excellent customer service. Qualifications:
- Exhibit good organizational and administrative skills.
- Excellent customer service and experience with individuals with disabilities
- Able to manage multiple tasks and projects.
- Knowledge in writing casenotes
Job Duties:
- Enrolling, monitoring, and assisting program participants and their attendants.
- Support participants in recruiting and hiring their own attendants.
- Train the participant and attendant on the Electronic Visit Verification system.
- Assist participants with their attendant’s payroll issues and/or discrepancies.
- Meet with participant and attendant quarterly, annually, and as needed regarding program services and processes.
- Collaborate with Managed Care Organizations regarding participant services and support.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience with disabled and/or pediatrics population
- Bachelor’s Degree or 3 years’ experience
- Bilingual ability in Spanish or other languages is a plus.
This is a full-time, 40-hour a week position Monday- Friday 8am-4pm. There is county-wide and some statewide travel associated with this position. Must have reliable transportation.
