The Caroline School is looking for an Infant & Early Childhood Caregiver!
Since 2002, The Caroline School has been providing unique educational services to meet the physical, social and cognitive needs of individuals ages 0-21 with multiple disabilities, including those who have additional medical needs. Qualifications:
- Ability to commit to a full-time year-round
- Background in Child Development (work experience or training in the areas of Teaching, Child Development Associate (CDA), Degree at Bachelor level in Education or relevant fields preferred).
- Comfort communicating with families and engaging in the daily care of babies and young children (diapering, feeding, playing and documenting progress of children in care).
- Willingness to learn and work with children with and without disabilities.
Job Responsibilities:
- Maintains integrity, organization, and cleanliness of classroom, equipment, work area, and student files/records (e.g. individual feeding and naptime routines, instructional materials, attendance).
- Provide ongoing and daily childcare in a consistent and timely manner (i.e. playing, feeding, resting, cleaning, toileting or diapering needs).
- Organize, monitor, update, and report on classroom schedules, routines, and activities as relevant to each child and/or Early Childhood Curriculum as provided.
- Demonstrate a collaborative attitude and willingness to support all TCS team members and students when applicable, regardless of age, ability and/or disability - be willing to float and/or assist in other classrooms when not needed in the infant/early childhood rooms.
- Attend all relevant meetings, actively participate in all trainings, and collaborate with child's team members.
- Be knowledgeable of and maintain compliance of all Childcare Licensing Standards
- Follow all confidentiality rules and abide by all TCS and Easter Seals policies as outlined in the employee
- Notify TCS leadership promptly of any problems or potential issues relating to students, parents or team members that may affect the health, safety, or licensure of The Caroline School.
