What are the responsibilities and job description for the Program Vice President position at Easterseals Midwest?
The VP Programs provides leadership and oversight to organizational program services. This position provides input into the strategic planning process and ensures that program services achieve the organization's mission, vision and goals. The VP Programs also ensures program services meet organizational guidelines, funder requirements and accreditation standards.
Essential Functions:
- Provides leadership in implementing strategic initiatives and ensures program services comply with organizational, funder and accreditation requirements. Creates and revises program policies and procedures as needed and oversees implementation.
- Creates and implements plans to continuously improve quality of services. Solicits feedback from families to improve services and ensure stakeholder satisfaction.
- Identifies program metrics that reflect organizational objectives and priorities, and oversees program reporting ensuring data and reports are internally consistent and accurate.
- Hires and develops senior management team and provides effective coaching, feedback and performance evaluations. Ensures team members understand their roles and are held accountable for objectives.
- Ensures that assigned program areas have necessary resources to support staffing needs and have effective new employee training and onboarding programs.
- Develops departmental business plan and annual budget. Oversees financial activities and ensures program areas operate within established budget guidelines.
- Clarifies organizational policies and procedures in relation to program areas. Ensures organizational policies and procedures are communicated to staff.
- Serves as member of the Executive Team and participates in committees and ad hoc projects as assigned.
- Leads program team meetings and professional development opportunities, and meets regularly with other program VPs to ensure program continuity.
- Represents the organization in the community and at professional meetings.

Qualifications:
- Must have bachelor's degree in related field with master's degree preferred.
- Must have at least 7 years of experience working with individuals with disabilities or working in a social services or health services organization.
- Must have at least 5 years of management experience in the field.
- Experience managing and tracking budgetary information and working with state agencies required.
Additional Requirements:
- This positon will travel to meetings, conferences and trainings, including overnight travel as needed.
- Must have current driver's license and proof of insurance.
- Must complete and maintain all required trainings/certifications.
- Must maintain confidential information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
