The Revenue Cycle Manager is responsible for managing and providing support on administrative and individual billing functions that contribute to the capture, management and collection of service fee revenue. This position will also provide accounting support and supervision to ensure the organization maintains accurate accounting records and meets compliance requirements in conjunction with Generally Accepted Accounting Practices.
Essential Functions:
- Manages the daily revenue cycle process including eligibility and benefit verification, budgets, billing for services, payment processing, unbillables and denial management, and collections and reporting. Will work within an EHR system with overlap work within accounting system.
- Manages the overall health of accounts receivables and manages monthly revenue cycle reporting.
- Manages revenue cycle employees including hiring, training, coaching, providing feedback, and completing performance evaluations. Manages activities to ensure that objectives are accomplished in an efficient and timely manner.
- Reviews and analyzes department workflows to develop more efficient policies, procedures, systems, and use of resources. Ensures compliance with the financial procedures of the organization.
- Assists other accounting team members, organizational employees, individuals/families and customers by answering questions related to accounts, procedures, and services.
- Performs special reports and projects for the department as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required.
- Must have at least 3 years of experience in credit/collections.
- At least 2 years of management experience in accounting and/or accounts receivable required with non-profit experience preferred.
- Experience working with EHR system preferred.
- Experience using Microsoft Office suite and intermediate-level knowledge of Excel required.
