Position Summary:
This position is responsible for managing technology-enabled services and team members. This position will communicate with individuals, guardians, and case managers; manage program implementation and quality standards, staff performance and productivity; ensure individual, family/guardian and funder satisfaction; and monitor program budget. Ensures services meet organizational guidelines, funder requirements, and accreditation standards.
Essential Functions:
- Manages the delivery of technology-enabled services, including providing training and assistance to staff, confirming services meet quality standards, and ensuring stakeholder satisfaction.
- Provides technology-enabled services and oversight through monitoring electronic support systems and sensors utilizing a variety of systems/software. Troubleshoots system issues as needed.
- Reviews individuals' support plans and ensures technology-enabled services are in accordance with plan outcomes and objectives. Completes Assistive Technology Assessments as needed.
- Responds to crisis situations per established guidelines and ensures that appropriate procedures are followed in event of an emergency – may respond through technology or in person as needed.
- Ensures adequate staffing through interviewing, hiring and onboarding/training of new employees. Conducts ongoing observation of employee performance and provides effective coaching, feedback and performance evaluations.
- Maintains documentation and ensures compliance with organizational, funder and accreditation requirements. Signs off on monthly reports, attends plan meetings, and provides input during plan reviews. Performs quality checks and program drills as scheduled.
- Promotes Easterseals services to stakeholders – builds relationships with referral sources, attends tech fairs, and consults with families and internal teams.
- Manages the preparation and maintenance of program reports. Trends data and performs follow up on items as required.
- Attends meetings, in-services and opportunities for ongoing education. Facilitates and participates in staff meetings and reviews any issues and training needs.
- Monitors budget for assigned homes and ensures homes are operating within established budget guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Must have bachelor's degree in human services or related field; or associate's degree with at least 2 years of experience providing direct supports to individuals with disabilities; or an Assistive Technology Professional (ATP) certification issued by the Rehabilitation Engineering and Assistive Technology Society of North America (RESNA).
- At least 2 years previous supervisory experience in the field is preferred.
- Must be able to work with a variety of computer/electronic systems and software that are utilized to support individuals. Must be able to operate remote electronic systems and troubleshoot issues.
- Must obtain Enabled Technology Integration Specialist Certification (ETIS) through Technology First within 30 days of hire.
