Qualifications:
- Must be a QMHP in accordance with Medicaid Provider Manual Guidelines. Must meet one of the following: - Possess grandfathered QMHP status (working in the role of a QMHP on or prior to 1/1/08). - Possess a Bachelor's degree and be an LLBSW or LBSW with the State of Michigan. - Be a Master’s prepared LLMSW or LMSW with the State of Michigan. - Be a Master’s prepared LLPC or LPC with the State of Michigan. - Be a Master’s prepared TLLP or LLP with the State of Michigan.
- Must meet qualifications of a Child Mental Health Professional (CMHP) and/or Mental Health Professional (MHP) per the Michigan PIHP/CMHSP Provider Qualifications per Medicaid Services.
- Have had at least two (2) years of full-time casework experience including 1 year in a leadership role.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assigns and supervises the caseload of professional staff engaged in treatment and case management services for mentally ill and/or emotionally impaired clients and their families. Assists professional staff as required.
- Reviews cases to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of services rendered. Conducts staff meetings to review problem areas and plan solutions.
- Assists staff in improving and updating professional skills by providing them with information such as pertinent conferences and seminars, new techniques in the field and current and pending legislation affecting mental health services. Orients and trains new staff.
- Monitors case records, including the follow up and referral of clients to community agencies to aid in an accurate history.
