We are seeking a Hybrid Intake Clinician - Adult Services to make a difference in the lives of our clients.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Screen for co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders, and implement integrated strength-based assessment interviews to assess the presence, onset, symptoms, and patterns of substance use, behavioral, and psychiatric disorders.
- Assess acute needs and risk, and provide or arrange for stage-wise intervention. Evaluate the interaction between two disorders, as well as their relationship to significant life events.
- Conduct initial assessments to determine an appropriate level of care based on contract criteria. Analyze clinical histories for diagnostic purposes, and develop preliminary individualized treatment plans and complete initial authorizations for individuals that include recommendations for community-based services.
- Develop preliminary treatment plans for SA, MH, and COD that are individualized and person-centered, reflecting proper treatment matching. Identify specific goals, objectives, and stage/phase-specific treatment interventions for each assessed need. Prioritize community resources and supports to assist individuals in meeting their needs.
- Provide education and/or consultation to help individuals, families, and support persons understand the interplay of mental health and/or substance use disorders, phases of recovery, service options, self-determination, and the course of treatment. Encourage participation in community and peer support groups.
Requirements:
- Possess a Master's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Social Work, AND have an LMSW from the State of Michigan Department of Consumer and Industry Services (LLMSW Grandfather provision applies); OR
- Possess a Master's degree from an accredited college or university in Counseling, AND have a license as a professional counselor (LPC) from the State of Michigan Department of Consumer and Industry Services; AND
- Meet qualifications of a Mental Health Professional (MHP) per the Michigan PIHP/CMHSP Provider Qualification per Medicaid Services
